Academy of Tribal Folk Arts and Dialect Development, Madhya Pradesh Sanskriti Parishad hosted a three-day folk dance festival from September 24-26 focusing on folk dancing and singing.
On the first day, Prem Singh Depalpuria from Rajgarh and his colleagues sang Kabir and Arvind Yadav from Sagar and the companions performed the congratulations and the Naurta dance. The event was broadcast live on the Department’s YouTube channel.
The presentation started with Kabir sung by Prem Singh Depalpuria and his companions. In which he Hey Re Bharyo Ram Ras Kanso, Re Bhanwara…, Sadguru Ji Maharaja Mo Pe Sai Rang Dara Hai…, The speech settled liar, Pandit Bhai…, Latko Chhod De Re Manwa Asal Fakiri Dhar…, Karam se Nyay re sadhu bhai …, don’t bandho, go jas ki …, introduced Kabir’s verses.
At the end, the performance ended with Kabir Pad Kehta Ja Jo Ji, Maha Sasaria Hall …,. Prem Singh Depalpuria on harmonium and on stage vocals, Pankaj Malviya on manjire, Santosh Saroliya on violin, Hari Om Malviya on tambura, Manoj Gorbat on dholak, Sachin Malviya on timki, Krishna Mohan Depalpuria on kartal.
The second presentation was given by Arvind Yadav and his colleagues of congratulations and Naurata dance. In the congratulatory dance, the artists performed naina bandh lage kahiyo na …, janam leo raghuraya …, from water to ocean, two and a half matkas …, katlo ne burst dhamko ne hoy. .., show the broken tapriya board …, Thane Rahiyo Manmohan …, danced to the songs. Badhai dance is a famous folk dance from Bundelkhand. This dance is performed in front of deities, on happy occasions such as marriage and birth.
