Dance India Dance is about to return with a new season. People are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the next season of DID. Dance India Dance: Battle of the Champions will premiere on June 22, 2019. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bosco Martis and Raftaar will be jury members for the show.
The competitors will be divided into four zones: South ke Thalaivas, North ke Nawabs, East ke Tigers and West ke Singhams. These teams will be supervised by renowned choreographers Sneha Kapoor, Bhawna Khanduja, Palden Lama and Paul Marshal respectively. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
1. Meet the Dance India Dance: Battle of the Champions mentors

2. Bhawna Khanduja will be the mentor of North ke Nawabs

Bhawna Khanduja is a household name in the Indian dance industry. Born and raised in New Delhi, Bhawna moved to Mumbai to pursue her dream of dancing. She is very well trained in various dance forms such as Chhau, Contemporary and even Ballet. She participated in Dance India Dance in 2013 and even participated in Remo D’souza’s film Anybody Can Dance (ABCD).
Bhawna has choreographed and appeared on several reality shows, alongside famous contestants like Arjun Bijlani and Vivian Dsena. In her own words, Bhawna once said that dancing is her life – “A day I don’t dance is a day I don’t live!”
2. Sneha Kapoor to supervise the South ke Thalaivas area

Popularly known as “The Princess of Indian Salsa” or “Salsa Sneha”, Sneha Kapoor is widely recognized for helping to put the Indian salsa scene on the world map. She is the first Indian in India and won numerous international salsa championships. Originally an athlete, it was during a sports injury that Sneha met Richard Tholoor.
However, after finding her calling in dancing, she had a traffic accident that broke her leg into two parts. She battled depression after the accident and came out on top! A rod in her leg never stopped Sneha from taking over the world.
She broke a Guinness World Record for “most swing dance flips in one minute”. The record of 33 flips in one minute was set in the UK, but Sneha and her team of three dancers renewed it to 39 flips.
4. Paldem Lama will mentor the East ke Tigers

Born February 3, 1989 in New Delhi, India Palden Lama is from Shillong. He first studied and worked to become a professional pilot. However, it was his show India’s Dancing Superstar that marked his debut as a dancer. He finished third with his partner Khyati Thapliyal.
Subsequently, Palden choreographed several reality TV shows including Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhlaja, Dare 2 Dance, Dance India Dance Season 4 & 5, DID Li’l Master Season 3. He also assisted and choreographed songs from movies, Baby Doll and Pink Lips with Sunny Leone to name a few.
5. West ke Singhams finds his mentor in Paul Marshal

Paul Marshal participated in Season 3 of Dance India Dance and remains one of the best finds on the show. He currently works as an assistant choreographer in Bollywood and besides dancing he also enjoys painting. Paul is a self-taught dancer specializing in lyrical hip-hop. He idolizes Prabhudeva and competitor DID Dharmesh Sir.
Paul had won a dance reality show KRAZZY KIYA RE season 2 and also appeared on India’s Got Talent 2. He was a mentor in Dance India Dance Lil Master 3 with Rahul Shetty. Watch the promo here:
