Oakland, California – The Oakland Asian Cultural Center (OACC) will present its second virtual concert in the “Celebrating Our HeART-filled Heritage” performing arts series, featuring members of the Parangal Dance Company, a Filipino folk dance ensemble from the Bay Area which aims to preserve the indigenous people of the Philippines culture through captivating performances and engaging workshops.

The OACC is proud to host Parangal Dance Company as part of a virtual event consisting of an educational presentation of three cultural dances from various regions of the Philippines, followed by a live dance workshop broadcast directly from the auditorium of the OACC. The mission of Parangal Dance Company is to pay homage to Filipino heritage by preserving and promoting ethnic clothing, music and dance through research, workshops and performances. They aim to serve as a bridge, inspiring and connecting Filipino Americans to their roots to give them a sense of pride and identity, while educating diverse communities to foster awareness and appreciation of Filipino culture.
