A Florida woman performed “several ballet and Irish folk dance moves” after being arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence in the United States, it has been reported.

Ma Harrington (38) of Madeira Beach, rammed another vehicle about a mile from her home on April 27.

When deputies arrived, they noted that Harrington was showing several signs of impairment, including bloodshot, watery, glassy eyes and dilated pupils.

While undergoing field sobriety tests, she “struggled to follow instructions and was unsteady on her feet, almost falling,” according to arrest documents.

It was noted in the police report that Harrington was asked to perform the “walk and turn and one leg stand”, and she began dancing instead. She reportedly danced ballet-style, as well as showing some “Irish folk dance moves.”

When the interior of his vehicle was inspected, officers reportedly discovered a cup containing an orange liquid. After a test of the drink revealed the presence of spirits, they claimed the drink contained alcohol.

The sheriff’s office said Harrington later refused testing, marking the second time she refused to test after a separate incident in Pinellas County on March 3, 2019.

Harrington was placed under arrest and incarcerated in the Pinellas County Jail.

She faces a misdemeanor DUI charge in addition to a second misdemeanor charge. She was released on $650 bail the next day.
