In the same sequence, a “Panthi Folk Dance” program was held Monday as part of the Horizon Online series as part of the Kala Vishwa special campaign.

The presentation was given by Kala Dal from Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – Yuva Jagriti Panthi Nritya Dal. The troupe offered their spectacular and commendable online performance at the Panthi Folk Dance musical evening at ICCR, Bhopal.

“Panthi Folk Dance” is a cult dance song of the disciples of Nirguni Dharmaguru Sri Guru Ghasidas in Chhattisgarh. A humble request.

He is known as Panthi because of his traditional song by worshipers of Nirgun and Satya Panthi Samaj. Dance / song for laborious and difficult feats, Panthi has its own sphere of influence and attractiveness in society. Chhattisgarh is identified with its various folk dances, one of them is dance.

The worship of Guru Ghasidas, the full moon of the month of Magh is very special because it is the date of birth of the Guru.

On this day, dancers dressed in white dhoti, kamarbad, ghungroo dance to the rhythm of the mridang and cymbals, the spiritual message of the impartial saints Kabir Raidas and Dadu etc. also found there. Being related to the path, the dance performed by the adepts became famous as the Panthi dance.
