In the June 9 episode of JTBC’s “Idol Room”, teammates PENTAGON and (G) I-DLE appeared as guests.

PENTAGON and (G) I-DLE are the latest boy and girl groups from Cube Entertainment respectively and both were very successful in the first half of 2018.

The idol groups embarked on two dance challenges. First, (G) I-DLE were tested on their ability to create their own choreography. Various songs came without warning and members had to create their own dance moves to accompany the song.

Frontman Jeon Soyeon kicked off with a “swag” version of MOMOLAND’s “Bboom Bboom”, while Minnie did a cute but simplistic version of BIGBANG’s “Bang Bang Bang”. The hosts then teased Miyeon by exaggerating her dancing skills to such an extent that she couldn’t perform on EXID’s “Up and Down”, although she did eventually come up with a few moves for “Growl” by EXO. Finally, Soojin closed things off with a sexy version of “Shine” from PENTAGON. PENTAGON’s E’Dawn also did a special “cameo” during this segment with his own version of Red Velvet’s “Red Flavor”.

Then, (G) I-DLE and PENTAGON engaged in a dance battle over the past successes of Cube Entertainment groups. (G) I-DLE quickly took the lead, Yuqi doing flawless covers of 4Minute’s “Whatcha Doin ‘Today” and HyunA’s “Red” (joined by Minnie and Shuhua). Minnie then covered HyunA’s “Bubble Pop” (along with another cameo from E’Dawn).

Regarding Trouble Maker, Yuto dragged Wooseok to do the couple’s dance even though Wooseok didn’t know any of the choreography. However, Yuto only knew part of it and quickly sat down. Eventually, Shuhua ended up doing the role of the girl alone. As all of the dance battle songs were girl group songs, (G) I-DLE easily won.
