Gardai was challenged in a dance battle against Swiss police who released a video to boost citizens’ morale during the pandemic.

Frankie Beats, a radio presenter who works with KISSFM in Portugal, shared the Swiss police video showing his movements in the snow.

As impressive as they were, Frankie felt that Gardai would give his Swiss counterparts a run for their money in a dance battle.

He wrote alongside the video: “The police in Switzerland @fedpolCH have decided to do something special for their people in these dark times.

‘Just amazing! @gardainfo? Will you accept the challenge if enough people retweet this? ‘

The Justice Department joined in the push to increase the pressure on the Gardai, writing: ‘@gardainfo, you get it. Make #Ireland proud. ‘

It appears the force was more than up to the challenge as a spokesperson responded confidently, “We have this. Challenge accepted #Jerusalemachallenge. ‘

It looks like the conversation has already started, as the Swiss police said: “We are looking forward to @gardainfo’s performance!

“Even though the @ZugerPolizei product can hardly be surpassed in terms of #precision, #discipline and #perfectionism.”

We think it might lead to a Step Up-style spinoff movie, but maybe we’re a little dramatic.
